It's in your
hands now.
Each mat is checked by hand before it ships. This one passed. We hope you're praying on it for years.
Why we exist.
Most prayer mats are made down to a price. Thin fabric, rushed stitching, sold by the crate with no thought for who ends up praying on them.
NEJMAT started as a reaction to that. The name means star in Arabic, something you find your direction by. That felt right for something people use five times a day.
Every mat is embroidered by hand and looked over before it goes out. Now, it's in your hands.
How to
care for it.
The embroidery is the hardest part to protect. Follow these and the mat will outlast most things you own.
Spot clean only
Dampen a cloth with cold water. Press, don't scrub. Friction damages the threads over time.
Skip the chemicals
No bleach, no alcohol, no fragrance. These strip the sheen from embroidery faster than you'd expect.
Store open or rolled
Folding embroidery inward presses the stitches flat. Fold outward, or roll if you have the space.
Avoid long sunlight
Gold threads dull faster than the fabric. Store in a bag or box when not in daily use.
Help the next
person find this.
